Gemma, I love the first Little White Lies cover and the Empire cover has some great ideas but the long shot image would be more suitable for an Empire cover- it's not a common convention for them to use an extreme close up for the base image; it's usually a long shot. Also , there are usually lots of capitals and specific font styles for cover lines and teasers etc. However, since you already have an excellent mark for your first little white lies cover, you don't need to make any changes.
